Pregnancy Facials: What’s Safe & What to Avoid
Pregnancy is an exciting time, but it can also bring unexpected changes to your skin. Hormonal shifts may cause breakouts, sensitivity, dryness, or pigmentation — which often leads mums-to-be to ask:
Are facials safe during pregnancy?
The good news is yes, facials can be safe and beneficial during pregnancy, as long as the correct treatments and products are used.
Are Facials Safe During Pregnancy?
Yes — when tailored specifically for pregnancy. A pregnancy facial focuses on calming, hydrating, and supporting the skin without using ingredients or techniques that could be irritating or unsafe.
Before any treatment, it’s important that your therapist knows you’re pregnant so your facial can be fully customised to your trimester and skin concerns.
Pregnancy facials to avoid:
Microdermabrasion
Chemical peels
Laser treatments
Just a reminder ✨
You should never go on a sunbed after a facial.
Facials exfoliate and stimulate the skin, making it extra sensitive. UV exposure straight after can cause irritation, burns, pigmentation, and undo all the hard work we’ve done.
Always wait at least 48–72 hours before any sunbed or intense sun exposure 🌞
Protect your skin—results last longer when you do 🤍
Why I Kindly Ask That Children Not Be Brought Into the Salon
At Cloudnine Beauty, I strive to create a calm, relaxing, and safe environment for all of my guests. While I love children, my salon is not designed to be a child-friendly space. For safety and comfort reasons, I kindly ask that clients make childcare arrangements before their appointment.
My salon uses professional tools, hot equipment, and chemical products that can pose potential hazards to little ones. In addition, I want every guest to enjoy a peaceful experience.
